Photo class filling up!

Want to learn how to take great pictures of your kids? Do you have the camera, but don’t know how to use it? Do you occasionally get good shots, but don’t know how you got them? Do you want to learn about light and how to see it?
The class covers your equipment, namely your camera, and getting familiar with it,  lighting and composition, and finally, working with kids, even your own kids, and capturing them with your camera. The class is being offered through the Sausalito Parks and Recreation Department and will be held in my new studio at 480 Gate Five Road, Suite 345a, in Sausalito. For more information, go to http://sausalito.recware.com (on page 7 of the class list) or call 415-289-4152. The class will meet three times for 1 1/2 hours each class. The first class meets Monday evening, January 23rd.

  1. Hi Gina,

I am considering signing up for your photo class but am wondering if it will address taking photos of infants. I am 7 months pregnant and need some advice on how to take pictures of babies as well as children.

    Thanks,
    Grace

    • Hi Grace,
It will cover infants and children. I always like to customize the class to the specific interests and needs of a particular group. Dare I say that infants are easy or should I say, easier than kids? I can safely say that they are much easier than the mobile little ones. You have a more control over your lighting situation, for the simple fact that you don’t have to chase them. Everything you learn in the class can be applied to shooting infants. Basic photography principles and your camera, lighting and composition, and finally, how to create a good environment to photograph your own babies and kids. Make sure you ask me some questions, if you need more specific answers and I’ll be sure to address them.
